How much do you charge?
Unfortunately, it is really difficult to give an indication of our charges without knowing a bit more about your event. Various things can affect the cost of hiring a band including the size and location of the venue, the length of time you want us to play and the equipment we will need to bring.
Our priority is to give your guests the best possible experience and to work within your budget wherever possible. So please, contact us now and we will be happy to give you a quotation with no obligation and no hard sell.
How much desposit do I pay to secure a booking?
The band require 10% of the full fee at the time of booking.
The balance can then be paid by direct transfer or by cheque 2 weeks before
your event or as cash, paid at the start of the event.
What areas do you cover?
The Mighty Persuaders band are available to hire in the
UK and International. Best rates in London, South East and East Midlands.
Where can I see you play?
The band is so busy with private engagements that they rarely
have the opportunity to play at public events. Many hosts are uncomfortable
with us inviting potential clients to their wedding or corporate function, therefore
we prefer not to ask them.
You may watch a video of our live performances on this website to give you a
better idea of how we appear when playing live.
Will the band need a PA or special lighting?
The band will supply their own PA suitable for events up
to 200 people and we will also supply band lighting.
Do you take song requests?
Clients are welcome to request specific songs from our current
set list and the band will try to accommodate as many of these as possible.
If you would like us to play a song live that is not on our set list, there
will be an additional charge of £75 per song to cover rehearsal costs.
What venues will you play?
The band will perform at a wide variety of venues from pubs & village
halls to large country estates, theatres, festivals, halls and hotel function
rooms. The band will also perform in marquees or outdoors, under cover, if the
weather allows it.
Sound Advice: Chances are that you've already booked the venue, but before you book your band / DJ we advise that you check with your venue to make sure they can accomodate for live music, some venues have volume restrictions with cut off systems, not all venues will make you aware of this when you make a booking and this can cause problems on the night with equipment being shutdown during performances and sometimes a wait of upto 10 minutes before re-setting. While the band can adjust their volumes accordingly we do need to be informed of the venues noise code in order to respect it. Please ask your co-ordinator or event/venue manager and inform us when enquiring.
How much space do you need?
The Mighty Persuaders are a 4 piece band and require a minimum
performance area of 5 x 4 meters with a minimum of 4 electrical points.
How long do you need to set up?
Usually we need at 1 - 1.5 hours to set up the PA and sound
check in advance of the performance. We prefer to carrying out the sound-check
before the arrival of guests where possible.
How long do you normally play for?
The band can perform upto 2 hours of live music depending
on your budget. Choose from 2 x 45 min sets - 2 x 60 min sets or 3 x 40min sets.
If you wish the band to perform for longer periods please mention
when enquiring.
Will I also need to hire a DJ?
The band can supply a professional DJ who will make announcements
and take requests for a competitive rate, please mention when booking.
The band is also happy to play a selection of continuous music
that is mixed together before and between our performances and at no extra cost.
Contracts & Booking requirements:
Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of a 10% deposit and
a completed, signed Booking Form and Hire Agreement. The remaining payment
must be paid no later than two weeks before the event (by bank transfer or cheque)
or as cash, paid at the start of the event.
After Booking:
Once a booking is confirmed, the band will contact the client whenever necessary if details need to be checked, clarified, confirmed or discussed.
